Diagnostic imaging

We provide a variety of in-house diagnostics, from CT and MRI scans to radiography and ultrasonography.

We also offer an interpretation service for radiographs, CT scans and MRI scans.

CT (computed tomography)

We offer a full range of CT services to all our referring colleagues, from an outpatient, scanning-only service to a full referral service with one of our established clinicians.

We have an onsite modern GE VCT 64 slice CT scanner, which uses the latest software packages and offers high resolution (1024 matrix and 0.3mm slice thickness) and advanced speeds.

Once in position, a whole abdomen and thorax study of a 35kg dog can be completed in approximately five seconds!

We can scan many areas, including:

Thorax.

Abdomen.

Brain, nasal cavities and sinus and middle and inner ear orbit.

Intervertebral discs and spine.

Bones, joints and soft tissue.

Any soft tissue area of the body.

MRI (magnetic resonance imaging)

Referring colleagues can benefit from a host of MRI services, including outpatient scans only to a full referral service with one of our veterinary surgeons.

We have a Siemens 1.5 Tesla Sempra MRI machine onsite, allowing for efficient scanning and diagnosis.

Although used primarily for brain and spine diagnostics, the exceptional image quality provides excellent visualisation for soft tissue and joint diseases.

We can scan the following areas:

Brain, nasal cavities, sinus and middle and inner ear orbit.

Intervertebral discs and spinal cord.

Bones, joints and soft tissue.

Any soft tissue area of the body.
